I got a job!!!!!! And not just any old job....a job at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas!! Yeah, that's right the, "Houston, we have a problem," Space Center! I've only been in Houston for about a week and I already have a job. I think I'm going to love Texas! I interviewed with United Space Alliance (my employer) Wednesday, yesterday, and they called me back today and offered me the job! United Space Alliance is NASA's company that designs the flight plans for the astronauts to follow in space and they also design the software tools the astronauts use on the computer terminals in the shuttles. My job will include flight planning and software tool design. There is also a robotics area which I can grow into once I obtain my Master's degree in that field. The benefits USA offers are outstanding and they will pay for me to go back to school and get my Master's! I'm still in shock...I mean I'm 23 years old, just out of college, and I'm being offered all of this! It's mind blowing...
I start September 11th after I pass the drug screening and background check. My goal now is to find a place to live close to the Space Center. I can't wait to get officially moved and start at this amazing job!!
