Going to the stars and beyond...

Friday October 6, 2006

My job is going very well. I have been given some projects already to work on, and I start my on-the-job training on Monday. I will be training for OCA which is the person behind the scenes of the Mission Control Center who sends email, data, and messages to the astronauts on the space station. I'm still in a little bit of shock about this job. I only graduated from college at the end of July and right off the bat I was offered this fantastic job at the Johnson Space Center in Houston working for one of NASA's contractors. This is a dream job to most everyone I know. It wasn't necessarily my dream job, but there is immense potential for me here. I can comfortably slide into the idea of this as my dream job. The benefits and pay are phenomenal, too!

But I couldn't have accomplished everything I have if it weren't for my very loving family. My wonderful parents, very supportive husband, the support from my in-laws, and all the rest of my family. I couldn't have gotten where I am today without you all because you're the ones who believed in me, said I could do anything I wanted to, and made me believe that I could go anywhere and be anyone I wanted to be. Through the hard times, the bad times, the sad times, and all the good times in between, thanks to everyone who was there to support me in my dreams of reaching for the stars. I made it! Now it's time to go further... I love y'all from the deepest part of my heart!
